👩🏻💼🎤 From Doubt to Confidence: My Journey from Volunteer to Emcee at the Breast Cancer Awareness EventA year ago, when I was asked to emcee the Breast Cancer Awareness Event, I hesitated as I had never emceed before. Lacking the confidence to step into the spotlight, I chose instead to contribute as a volunteer.Fast forward to last Saturday (28/9/2024). This time, I proudly took on the role of an emcee for the very same event. I had the honour of welcoming the PR & Partnership Manager from the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA), to share on raising awareness and advocating for early detection.The event also featured a powerful moment—a moderated chat session with a breast cancer survivor, who bravely shared her journey. Her story not only shed light on the emotional and physical battles she faced but also highlighted the critical importance of early detection in saving lives. I was honoured to make the special announcement that Signature Market will open its retail store at Eslite Spectrum, Starhill Gallery. 🛍️Reflecting on the past year, I see how much I’ve grown. Moving from volunteer to emcee represents more than a shift in roles; it marks a leap in personal confidence and the development of my skills. I’m proud to have contributed to such an important cause and to continue using my voice to make an impact in the fight against breast cancer.

Celebrating the Grand Opening of Signature Market at Jonker Street, Malacca (25 July 2024, Thursday)🎊 I was delighted to be the emcee for the grand opening of Signature Market's new retail store, right in the heart of Malacca's vibrant Jonker Street📍. It was an honor to guide attendees through an exciting journey, highlighting the expansion of Signature Market and its complementary sister companies, Plant Origins and Yi TCM, also I was thrilled to announce the launch of Slimjoy, our new line of fruit yoghurt drinks🥤 in my introduction and welcoming speech. 🥳 The event featured a special address from our CEO, Edwin Wang, who shared inspiring insights and plans for the future. We then moved to the ribbon-cutting ceremony, marking the official opening of our beautiful new store. The celebration concluded with a vibrant lion dance, a traditional symbol of ushering in abundance and prosperity for our Malacca location.🎊 It was a wonderful event, and I am grateful to have been a part of it. An Emcee for the Pathfinding Tarot 2.0 Event: A Journey of Growth & Impact 🎤I am incredibly grateful to organise and be the emcee for the Pathfinding Tarot 2.0 (Charity) Event at Signature Market . This opportunity has been a remarkable experience, allowing me to influence every aspect of the event, from engaging the audience to ensuring the smooth flow of the evening.As an emcee, I had the crucial role of conveying the important messages of the event to the participants, making sure everyone felt connected and informed. As for this event, it was important for me to relay that our 9 Readers were giving out Readings for charity & the sales from the tickets will be donated fully to the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation Malaysia (ADFM). This experience has not only been fulfilling but also instrumental in honing my skills. I have gained, harnessed, and sharpened many abilities, from public speaking and crowd management to effective communication and adaptability.Being an emcee has truly been a journey of growth, and I am thankful to my mentor for recognizing my strength and encouraging me to showcase my talent as the emcee for the Pathfinding Tarot 2.0 Event. I am also grateful for the trust and support that enabled me to take on this role.

I noticed from attending Tiktok Marketing and today’s Digital Marketing training sessions that more and more people hunger to gain new skills and knowledge which goes to show that “the only skill that will be important in the 21st century is the skill of learning new skills” - Peter Drucker .
